Verizon Yellow Pages FAQ for New National Criteria

Subject: Verizon® Yellow Pages FAQ for New National Criteria
Idearc Media Corporation announced new National Criteria on December 20, 2006. To reiterate, to qualify for consideration as National Yellow Pages Services advertising, an account must meet the following definition:
· is published by two (2) or more publishers;
· appears in twenty (20) or more print Directories;
· is distributed in at least three (3) States; and
· has at least thirty percent (30%) of the advertising revenue ordered for Directories outside the
· is for an advertiser that has greater than 20% of
· appears in Directories, greater than 20% of which are outside of IDEARC Directory scoped boundaries.
Additional conditions for qualification include the following;
· IDEARC will consider for advertising branches if they can be classified as: (a) parent company owned branches; or (b) independently owned local outlets or franchises of national firms. The local outlets or franchises must be part of a closed trade or brand program that includes a central control plan that provides such services as lease arrangements and purchasing and placement of advertising. Use of a common name is required.
· National advertising programs of major national companies that operate through individually owned outlets with names other than that of the national advertiser may qualify for the NYPS Dedicated Dealer Program. IDEARC will consider for acceptance Dealer Advertising Programs if at least 50% of the advertising placed is corporately funded. IDEARC may require an affidavit from the account confirming that these qualifications (or any of them) are met.
· IDEARC will not accept orders for NYPS from companies that perform management functions or group purchasing for similar businesses that are separately owned and will no longer accept Emerging National accounts.
· IDEARC reserves the right to accept NYPS Orders from accounts that do not qualify under these qualifications if (a) the account meets the NYPS qualifications in effect immediately prior to January 19, 2007, and (b) the account’s size exceeds the IDEARC’s local sales division’s capacity to meet its needs. For your reference, this information is available on IDEARC National Accounts Online.
